An exceptional oak, a state-protected natural heritage site, located in the Ignalina district, in the village of Palūšė. The oak grows right next to the fence of the Palūšė churchyard, on the south side. The oak trunk has a circumference of 4.60 m, a height of 26 m, and is 400 years old.
It is said that the priest wanted to cut down the oak tree, but during a thunderstorm the oak tree deflected lightning away from the church. The priest took pity on the tree, and it still protects the church today.
