Near Vaišniūnai, hidden in a forest, are two small lakes. Locals call them Laumės aki (Eyes of the Lake) because of the shape of the lakes and the different color of the water. Both lakes are named after Ešerinis, although together they are called Laumiakiai (Fish Eyes) and are natural heritage sites.
