The island is located in Baluošas Lake, in Ignalina district. This is a state-owned hydrographic object of natural heritage in the territory of Aukštaitija National Park. There is a 7.7 m deep lake inside island, which connected with Lake Baluošas by the strait. Island is separeted from the coast by 150 meters water strip in the west.
